A yachts rig works best when the mast is set up correctly and the shrouds are precisely tensioned to support it. A poorly-supported mast can dramatically affect the yachts performance.

SureCheck is an essential part of any sailors kit, a meter which allows accurate calibration of your rig tension. Once you have the correct settings, check them regularly (especially after sailing in heavy weather) and adjust when necessary.

It is recommended that you check your rig tension at least three times during the season, especially after sailing in heavy weather. Always lock rigging screws after adjustment. Split pins should be replaced regularly (or use SureClip).
